My debian install shows that php5 (5.6.26+dfsg-1) and php7 (7.0.25-1)
are available for apache 2.4.29-1. If you decide to drop php5 in favor
of php7, you may find this of use:

http://php.net/manual/en/migration70.php

There are additional links for migrating from 7.0 to 7.1, and from 7.1
to 7.2. Pay attention to backward incompatible changes as well as
deprecated features, as that may carry a heavy impact on your existing
php code.
